The KingFisher is now installed and ready for use! We currently have the magnetic head and heat block for 96 deep well plates (50-1000 uL range), but will soon have the heating block for 24 well plates (200-5000 uL volume range). If you are interested in using the KingFisher, please reach out to one of the following people for hands-on training for how to operate the instrument and safely change the fragile magnetic heads. There is a shared instrument calendar for booking time on the instrument and also a paper log for tracking use.
Caroline Fecher – fecher@wustl.edu
Alex Jacoby – alexj@wustl.edu
Andrew Smith – smith.andrew@wustl.edu
Isaac Plutzer – plutzer@wustl.edu
Emily Wilkerson Zarbock – emilyz@wustl.edu
Also, there will be a virtual training on Monday February 26th at 3 PM via Microsoft Teams with another field specialist to focus on protein applications on the KingFisher. Please see below for the meeting details.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions (emilyz@wustl.edu)!
